COVID 19 Announcement

We want to thank you for the trust you put in Padania Vernier Hospital. At this stressful time due COVID-15 pandemic, I take this opportunity to reach out to each of you with my best thoughts for your health and the health of your families, pets, loved ones, and co-workers. We are living through unprecedented times right now as we are faced with uncertainty across all aspects of our lives presented by the COVID-19 outbreak. While we show concern regarding the health and safety of our patients, to date, the CDC has NO evidence of pets spreading this particular strain of Coronavirus. Federal, state and local governments have stepped up their efforts to expand social distancing over the past few days. In light of the announcements to close schools, restaurants, bars, and other businesses, we have decided to limit face-to-face interactions at the Padonia Veterinary Hospital for the safety of our clients, staff, and community. Therefore, we are adopting the necessary adjustments to the hospital visits including the following which go into effect immediately: At this time, we decided to keep our facility open and operating on our regular scheduled hours. Please be aware during this pandemic, we do expect delays, increased wait times, or other minor disruption of our service. For all routine visits, including vaccination appointments, that you stay in your car, and call our office up on arrival. If you have no concern regarding the health of your pet and you think your pet can be handled appropriately in your absence, stay in your car, and call our office on arrival. One of our team members will come out to your car and pick up your pet to bring her/him into the facility. A team member will bring your pet back out to your car when their visit is complete. As always, we are here for any emergencies you pets may encounter. We encourage you to reach us by phone in case of emergency to speak with one of our talented team members directly - (410) 666-7878 We will be altering hospital visitation hours for hospitalized patients. Visitation will be limited to ONLY the immediate family of hospitalized patients’ whose prognosis is imminently terminal. We are also asking that any clients who have fever and/or flu-like symptoms, travelled outside of the country within the last 30 days, or who have had exposure to an individual with COVID-19, to reschedule their appointment until further notice. We are implementing Increased Telephone and Email Support – Padonia Veterinary Hospital Staff members will be available to assist members by phone or email. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC, the Federal government, and local authority in order to help prevent the spread of the virus. About the Author

Dr. Nabil Anis is a veterinarian. Throughout his childhood years he was fascinated with animals: dogs, cats, fish, exotic birds, snakes, frogs, turtles, porcupines, Guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, and many more! It was during his childhood when he took care of these animals that Dr. Anis decided he wanted to pursue his life-long goal of becoming a veterinarian. He attended Cairo University School of Veterinary Medicine and obtained his Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
